In the bouquet ripe yellow fruits, butter and anise. On the palate butter and full bodied, beautiful acidity, complex, minerals, a touch of sweetness and very tasty. Beautiful wine.

Informal dinner, no notes taken. Slighlty sweet, slight oak but very well integrated, gained suave, creaminess and concentration since the last bottle a few years ago. Seems at its peak wouldn't wait longer. Perfect point with tension, and everything. Easily drinking on 92 points level today.

Pop and pour, consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Medium-plus intensity, lemon peel, green apple, gunflint, butter, and licorice. Palate: Full bodied, creamy mouth-feel, green apple dominates up-front with butter and licorice notes appearing mid-palate, canned pear and metallic notes show in the back-end. Finish: Medium length dominated by canned pears and licorice. This is an over the top full throttled new world white that packs a punch but lacks depth of character - it is what it is.
