Dark and vibrant purple colour in the glass. Interesting nose of raisins and cherries standout with hint of pepper and cinnamon. Palate is round with stewed fruits, liquorice and cola notes coming through. Medium savory finish with some residual tannins.

Dalwhinnie tasting with David Jones (Five Way Cellars, Paddington): smells a little sour, black fruits, five spice, black pepper, a little clay and some red berry notes. That sourness translates to the palate with black fruits, long, chamois soft tannins. The tannins make this work as they carry the fruit.
