Two bottles, once in August 2022 and one in December.
Dark in colour but thinner in the mouth than expected. Typically Northern Rhone (cool) syrah. Wine had thrown plenty of thick sediment, decanted 45 mins before serving. Plenty of red fruit to go with some black. Could almost be drunk in place of a pinot? Not nearly as much oak as Guigal's Cotes du Rhone or the more senior cuvees.
It might be my favourite wine bottle label in the world.

Guigal New Releases including 2012 LaLas: Blind, picked the wine as its smell reminded me of the 2012 version. Lifted fruit and florals, flint, some spice and herb. Good structure, with the fruit power showing through here a bit more than the 2012. Plenty of spice across the length, while it isn't quite as composed as the 2012, an extra year in bottle could well help it.
