Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Absolutely loved this reasonably priced Burgundy. Great nose, nice body and color; not too leggy, hints of dark fruits and earth. Different from any Pinot Noirs that we have tasted from California, Washington and Oregon. Drank on a snowed in evening with a simple beef stew. Still was going strong 90 minutes out of the bottle. Glad we are on speaking terms again with our French allies. We really did not want to miss visiting their wine regions. Not to mention the bread and cheese.

  • From the get-go the wine is accessible, with a rich nose (reflecting the very hot year in France for 2003) with high toned cherry fruits, hints of tobacco, and a voluptuous mouthfeel, with soft tannins, and a nice finish. One to buy and drink over the next 3-4 years, it will improve a little but is drinking well now.
