Very disappointing. Actually, Gary V's description was pretty accurate. Lots of veggies, dirt, barnyard, cherry and raspberry. I really liked the interesting nose. The palate however was dry, tart, thin, and short. After a day in the fridge, it pulled together a bit more, but it was still pretty thin. Down the drain it went. 90 pt nose & 79 pt palate = 84 pt wine.

12.5% alcohol. Pretty wine at this level, showing no greenness of 2004. Cherry red color. Lovely bouquet of red cherry, minerals, and earth. In the mouth, a bit rustic but with good, light fruit that dances across the tongue and interplays nicely with unapologetic earthiness. Strong acidity. Some tannins on the finish. Still on the young side. B+

good old world character, earthy, vegetables and lead. kind of dull with slight fruit characteristics, but great mouthfeel. smooth with lush acidity. good food wine.

(ARNOUX BOURGOGNE PINOT FIN) #2; COLOR-medium; NOSE-very vegetal (celery) & barnyard; little horseradish & sand aspect; I like quite a bit; TASTE-very vegetal & dry; austere; Burgundy at its' best (very Old World style); not for everybody (New World people leave); AM-85; GV-90

Had a lot of expectations from the wine, being from Burgandy. But was light on the finish not much complexity.
