Traditional Syrah flavors and aromas. A fine everyday wine when your in the mood for Syrah but don't need something special. Balanced tannins/ acidity. Finish and complexity was lacking but otherwise a good offering.

Marché aux Vins d'Ampuis 2017; 1/20/2017-1/22/2017 (Ampuis): Couleur : pourpre très sombre, presque encre.
Nez : beaux fruits parfumés (mûre, framboise noire), de la réglisse, des nuances herbacées, le tout exprimé sur un léger lardé.
Bouche : Entrée souple avec du goût. Corps assez charpenté, plus de matière, de structure et de densité en bouche que le Sainte-Epine 2014 dégusté en parallèle. Le palais développe un beau jus, pur, plein et avec une belle vivacité. La trame tannique est assez imposante et doit encore se fondre en fin de bouche. Beau potentiel de vieillissement.
Finale d’assez bonne longueur encore un peu asséchante en l’état.
Globalement, un ton (très) au-dessus du 2014.
Note : 16,25-16,5/20 (91-92/100)
