shared with pat at selkirk manor. i continue to prune the cellar of bottles with past due drink by dates. the wine proved to be in sound condition. the wine has outlived the longevity estimates of both professional and consumer estimates. in fact , tonight's bottle was far more impressive than the previous bottle tasted on 3/4/2021. overall, i put this among the top five california chardonnays that i have had. the wine was firing on all cylinders with complex aromas jumping out of the glass. generous citrus, tropical and stone fruit on the palate. long finish. the golden color is reflective of its age. but i believe that the wine will continue to show well for at least another year. wish i had bought more.

shared with pat at selkirk manor. i continue to prune the cellar of bottles with expired drink by dates. i have been hanging onto this bottle for sentimental reasons to keep the memories alive of our encounters with George Hendry at Stage Left Restaurant wine pairing dinners. The wine has aged gracefully and continues to be in its prime drinking range. the wine is complex with a range of tastes that have been described by others. i get mostly stone fruit and a hint of tropicals. although barrel fermented, the oak remains in the background. i have one left which i will attend to before the end of the year.
