Wild raspberry and herbs with plenty of fully integrated, perfectly ripe fruit remaining. The texture is spot on at this point. What a treat. Drink now.

14% alcohol. Very short cork of middling quality. Opened 90 mn ahead but did not decant. The colour is pale and cloudy. The nose is immediately enchanting evoking an infusion of rose petals mixed with "grenadine"; this is really unique. Similarly superlative in the mouth with extraordinary length and magnificent mouthfeel. Less strawberry than on other occasions, and I will not complain about that. There is a "sweet without sugar" feel here. No tannin worth talking about but good grip nevertheless. I feel that it is best not to have this wine too often in order to preserve the whaouh effect. The partnership with Iberico pork chops was excellent.

14% alcohol. G dominant. The cork is long and of pretty good quality, but it is soaked 1/4 to 1/3 of the way. Opened an hour early and poured two glasses 45 mn later, which I am aware is not the procedure recommended by the owner, but it has worked fine for me so far. The colour is pale and translucent with a faded tinge. The nose is immediately captivating with intense red fruit aromas (redcurrant and raspberry) as well as dried rose petals and a powdery aspect upon swirling. The mouth is just as good with flavours matching the aromas and good acidity; the alcohol is mostly inconspicuous. There is a stylistic commonality with some Cote de Beaune Pinot and Piemonte Nebbiolo here, maybe as a result of soft extraction techniques. I will never understand why so many people underrate Grenache; oh well, not my problem.

Lychee, pomegranate, maybe other tropical fruits on the nose. High acid and light on the palate. Should have guessed Grenache but stayed with Pinot. Shows my lack of experience with Grenache based wines. Not my kind of wine but understand the appeal.

Very consistent with all previous notes of Des tours from other vintages. Singular no doubt. But pruney, raisin and candied. You get some sugar coated strawberries, Manuka honey, canned lychee. Light colours and on the palate, more elegant than it feels on the nose. On a different day, I might have liked it just a bit more, but not tonight when everything else was so classic and good.
