Last of 12, opened 30 minutes, half stained cork, perfect level, even browner than last bottle in Feb, increased fade to fruit, though attractive and nuanced, downside now, drink up. Just F (17.5).

11th of 12, opened 80 minutes, perfect level, cork quarter stained, less intensity to fruit, but otherwise consistent with my previous notes, elegant and nuanced for Chianti but sense of starting decline, no reason to hold. F (17.5).

10th of 12, opened 30 minutes, perfect cork and level, lovely purity to slightly sour black cherry fruit, graceful for a Chianti, still grippy, at best so far, no rush. F (17.5).

Deep ruby with some amber in color. Muted nose of dark stewed berries. Dark fruit, good acidity and fading tannins. Definitely past it’s peak freshness but well integrated and still very enjoyable.

Decanted for 30 minutes. Some sediment in the shoulder. This has held up very well. Fonterutoli rarely disappoints.
