  Drank with Ashleys at Sierra Grille with dinosaur short rib. Should have been a perfect match, but to be honest it was not mind blowing. So disappointed due to huge expectations, but still obviously a cut above. Huge nose, great core flavors and long finish. Maybe bad match with spices. Who knows?

  This is my first 100 point score given on CT and this wine deserves every point. This is the best wine I've ever had, surpassing the 2012 Odette Reserve. Full-bodied, layer upon layer of flavor, long finish, just perfect in every way. Decanted for about 75 minutes and then drank over the next hour. I'd say the 90 minute decant that other people are recommending below is perfect. Will try to acquire more of this wine. This is what special occasion wine is all about.

  Decanted over cocktails; needed 90 minutes to flesh out to full-bodied fabulousness. This is aging seamlessly, beginning to pick up some tertiary aromas but still clearly Napa with pure, silky fruit on the palate. This is a more feminine IX than others I've had, seamless, balanced, and elegant in the mouth with extremely long finish of St. Helena earth and espresso. Wonderful.
