Kepos Kitchen supper (Kepos Kitchen): Polished cherry backed by new oak which lends sweet spice. Palate quite similar; softly approachable, easy with alcohol warmth lending spice on the finish. Great with the Quail.

Pinot and Pate matching (KC's place): From Coravin. Coffee, spice, polished oak over slight red cherry and berry fruit, quite perfumed. Juicy and fleshy, slightly gritty tannins, rather nice.

Red fruits, plenty of acid. Quite light and thin. Some earthy notes. But in the end the wine contributes to my personal failure to understand Pinot Noir. For me the overriding sensation from this wine is rubber.

Coravin fun - semi global pinot (Kennards, Waterloo): From Coravin. Biscuit, toasted red berry compote, touch of herbaceousness and earthy elements backed by sweet spice. Quite a rich bouquet. More of the same on the palate. Quite spicy here as well. Pleasing in an over oaked slightly over done way...hmm, that might not be completely fair. It is quite moreish.

Summa15 Day 2 (Magré (Margreid), Alto Adige, Italy): Rose core, see through, paler rim; fresh, true Pinot nose, rose, sweet, some new oak, shorter finish; like a good Oregon Pinot.
