  • Took longer to open up versus previous bottles. Light golden yellow color, fine bubbles, nose initially dominated by sourdough, baked apples and stone but with air added jasmine, apricots and light honey. Delicious on the palate, finishes subtle and long.

  • All I can say is wow! Amazing golden straw color, fine very fine and active bubbles. On the nose perfumed pineapples, honeycomb, refined stones and chalk, marzipan and brioche. Very buttery and fat on the palate, beautiful structure and balance, better than most whites, perfect for pairing with fine food. Reminiscent of Selosse. Simply delicious. One last bottle left but what a treat. One of my favorite champagnes of all times.

  • Trying to up the average score of CT for this astounding champagne in this second bottle that I have rated out of 3. Opened and aerated for 30 minutes, then drank over an hour. This wine is at its peak with tiny refined bubbles, very vivacious on the nose and palate with orchard fruits, hints of pineapple, minerals, honey, spice cake and brioche. Great acidity mid palate, vintage champagne is becoming my preferred accompaniment to great food, and a long lifting and fat finish. Produced in very limited quantities it is a privilege to enjoy this evolved and complex champagne.
Next stop DP P2 2000 and Krug 2004!

  • Having read the comments of some of my fellow CellarTrackers I had dampened my expectations. To my surprise this champagne surprised on the upside! Deep golden yellow color, very fine and active bubbles, an amazing nose of orchard fruits, berries, and spice cake. Some brioche. On the palate fat and full, great lift and depth, like a wide angle effect on the palate. Finishes long and buttery. Definitely my kind of champagne. Two more bottles left and that is a privilege.
