From a Magnum. Bright yellow color, fresh white fruit nose with a hints of honeysuckle. A lovely mature core of white peaches and pears with a buttery roundness one would expect from a good '96 premier cru. This is often true with this wine but is even more evident from this format

The leanness of its level is the only thing that gives this away as entry point white Burg, all other attributes point to a classy wine masquerading as Villages or even 1er Cru. Beautiful aromatics of freshly churned butter, white peach, flowers that are the same colour as the aforementioned peach and a little toasty development. It is fresh and compact in the mouth with a strong mineral line and very good length. Worked admirably with a delicious fillet of Coral Trout.

Nice mature burgundy. Not particularly complex but good balance and freshness. A pleasure to drink.
