  Drank from a perfect cellar this Rioja performed like half its age. Bouquet of ripe strawberries, leather and refreshing mint.
  There are few traditional Riojas out there and CVNE has changed its style over the last years, too. I guess, there won't be wines like this, after globall warming takes its toll.
  Quite amazing, it should keep for another 10-20 years when cellared perfectly..

A whiff of staleness refreshed over 15 minutes through vigorous aeration in glass; maturing red & black bouquet emerged with hints of strawberry, cola, leather, black truffle, vanilla & savory wood. Medium plus, moderately deep & not very concentrated; traces of remnant soft tannins & a fair deal of soft acidity in good harmony; lean, brawny, sinewy & increasingly vapid; smelled better than it tasted.   Fantastic Rioja. Light ruby color It had leather and rubber and savory notes on the nose and was deliscious on the palate: cherry strawberry with acidity and backbone on the finish that brings you back for more. I decanted it and served after about 2 hours and consumed over another hour and half. I felt it evolved some but very little given its age. This is ready but can be held but why wait, this is the rioja you have been waiting for
