Can't get over this wine. 2nd one I have had in the past year and both were consistent and outstanding. Dark fruit on the nose with a touch of cola. The pallete is still incredible. Chocolate on the palette with med acid and long silky tannins still remain. Would never place this as 43 yrs old in a blind tasting. This one is truely unique.

Lovely mature cedar color, plenty of orange hues. Open mature nose of ripe, warm, indistinct, red-profiled fruit - maybe plums. Nice palate, most noticeable was the maturity. The bare faintest hints of VA, in a way that added to the complexity. This then blew off and settled in over the next half hour into an oily, open-knit texture of indistinct warm ripe fruits. Pleasant, but nothing special - no disctinct flavors or secondaries. Delicious in it's maturity, but muddled, lacking focus and distinction. Everything was right except the core material, which seemed mediocre. 2-3 Points added for length of time in bottle and the uniqueness of a very well stored and well-aged PS, otherwise a basic good quaffing table wine.
