  At Le Diplomate in DC. Beautiful red cherry nose; very delineated. Good concentration on the palate; still a bit unsettled with some dry tannins.
  
  Overall another great Leroux wine. Drink now and likely better in 3-5 years.

  Red cherry, sandalwood, lavender, spice. Satiny texture with medium/medium plus acidity. Violet and tea notes accentuate the finish, which shows nice backbone, energy, and ample ripeness. Solid. Hold/drink to 2028.

  Stelvin. Thanks to the hail, 2013 represents another small crop for Leroux's village blend. Quality, however, remains a constant-not least because around 75% of the wine is actually declassified 1er Cru; mostly Les Aussy (can be labelled Ronceret) plus a little Santenots and La Gigotte. The 25% villages wine making up the numbers also coming from the villages portion of Les Aussy. Almost all destemmed with 12 or 13% whole bunches. The palate has superb flesh and perfume with sweet plum, cherry blossom and bitter cocoa notes, punchy freshness and a pinch of powdery tannin. Just a superb, seductive Volnay.
