This was lovely. Cedar, cherries, and warm spice on the nose. On the palate, more cherries, some cola, and spice. Drinking well now but I would not hold it much longer as it is not built for the long haul. I am a big fan of all WA state wines and K Vintners/Charles Smith in particular. Very nice tempranillo. It paired very nicely with the homemade ragu bolognese. The subtle flavors of the meat sauce matched the smoothness of the wine. This is not a wine for a big, hearty steak.

Well as I have previously written, I am chief cook and bottlewasher around this house so when preparing dinner each night I coravin a glass or a glass and a half of wine. This past week one of the wines I coravined was this one. Nice and fruity on the nose, the palate is strawberry, plum, tobacco, nuts and some spice. The finish was nice, it was an enjoyable wine. If this stay at home goes on for another month I will consider coravining a glass while preparing lunch. If it goes on another two months I will start the coravin ritual with breakfast.

Major funk! This one took a few hours to open up.

Rich and full-bodied fruit with a lot of funk. Wanted to enjoy this more, but the funk and almost sweetish fruit left me less than satisfied.
