Medium dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes, Paired with braised pork cheeks. Relatively straightforward Nebbiolo (90% w/ 10% Merlot)) that works well with simple dishes at a good value. REd fruits, some spice, and a hint of anise. The palate is similar, medium bodied, picking up some herbaceous notes that were not on the nose. Tannins a moderate and medium grained.

Second Sunday Group: 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet (Neil's): Nice red fruit and vanilla, turning plummy and ripe through the finish. 90% nebbiolo and 10% merlot.

Light bodied red wine that wont overpower food. Paired nicely with grilled lamb.

Very well made wine but lacks the ethereal sense of grace in the '09 Negris I have had. Perhaps it is the 10% merlot.
