Would never peg this for a California zinfandel. Ruby colored, very bright with juicy cherries and raspberries. Barely any noticeable oak so the fruit is just very fresh and pure. A little bit of spice. Medium+ acid, medium tannin and body. Delicious wine and lower alcohol compared to most zins which is great.

Dark red in color. 13.6% ABV. Super pure nose of black fruits, baking spices and chalk. Medium to full bodied with mouth watering acidity. Tremendous purity of fruit. Distinctly fresh and light. Blackberry compote, black cherry, white pepper and orange peel on the palate. The finish is perfection. Another great Zinfandel from Limerick Lane Vineyard. Drink over the next 3-5 years.

This was outstanding, perhaps the best zin (to my taste) that I've had. Still some ripe red fruit but not overly jammy. And a little spice on the back end but not overdone. As with most Matthiasson's the word that always come to mind is 'fresh'. Love it.

(Matthiasson Zinfandel Limerick Lane) Dark ruby color; aromatic, fresh, savory, tart blackberry, light violets, berry compote nose; fresh, creamy textured, tart berry, tart black cherry, black raspberry palate with integrating oak, medium acidity and refined, sweet tannins; should go 8-10 years; medium-plus finish 93+ points

After dinner bottle. Dark fruit and subtle spice. Medium plus depth. I don’t drink much Zin, so this seemed decent.

Very nice wine. Not "hot" like many Zins. Great with beef. Highly recommend.
