I’m unsure bout the CT distinction of this as an estate grown wine. As I know, there is only one Nina Lee.
Inky deep purple color. Blackberries, cherries and hemp on the nose, with toast, pepper and the faintest floral hint in the background. No viognier as I understand.
Classic Syrah palate of ripe dark fruit, leather, smoked meat and earth. Laser-focused and lengthy. Superb.

Very much alive and kicking. Served alongside a younger St Cosme Saint Joseph, it clearly showed a more gregarious, fruity side of Syrah. However, it also clearly displayed the savory side so redolent in the Rhone counterpart. Altogether, quite good.
PnP -it didn't need decanting.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (EBCC): Double blind. Opens with a sweet cotton candy note, followed by black fruit and ripe plum. Long finish. Guessed cab sauv. (J&L)

Nina never disappoints. Great tonight with pork chops, garlic oyster mushrooms and zucchini—and with cherry pie dessert.

Probably at it’s peak. We’ll drink any remaining bottles soon.
