Outstanding Syrah. The cellar brought good favor to this wine. My regret was I didn't buy a case. The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Toast, Black Pepper, and Clove. It tastes like Black Pepper, and Clove. The body is Full. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Long.

Served with sausage and leek farfalle. Decanted for 20 minutes. Medium-bodied wine, purple and ruby in color. On the nose, medium black fruits. On the palate, lots of blackberry with a bit of spice. The attack is decent, the finish long at 20+ seconds, but the mid-palate does not quite match up. Tannins are resolved. After 3 hours, this one turns towards candied licorice...not as tasty as earlier. Drink now, and in fact, drink within 1-2 hours of opening for maximum enjoyment.

Agree with recent comments. This wine is in a great spot right now. Spring Valley's are built to last.

- Brick color with slow forming legs. It's balanced with a full body. Leathery texture with a long finish.

Wait! Did I miss something? Unrevealing, OK syrah from Walla2. Very little on the nose and short finish. $50 huh?
