    Great length & intensity.
The combination of intensity, length & elegance is WOWing.

  • The nose showed ripe peach, grapefruit, sweet spice, wax, and yellow florals in an airy yet gorgeously ripe expression. On the palate it played a sweet and sour act with grapefruit, grapefruit and more grapefruit, mineral stone and lemon pith with rich textures balanced by piercing acidity. The finish seemed to create a vacuum of flavor, which suddenly exploded into a rush of tropical fruits, spice and sweet inner floral notes. In a word, WOW!

  • Medium yellow. Slightly paler than the Alte Reben; slightly deeper than the "P".

Huge, pungent, stony, mineral-infused nose. Amazingly aromatic.
Really an outrageously powerful, intense nose.
Lime/lime-oil, yellow pit fruit, pineapple, quince, lemon custard & blood orange. Tart-apricot, white-peach, stony citrus-zest, lime-flesh & nectarine.
Slatey & rich, & both richly oily, & fresh. Starfruit, grapefruit, blackcurrant, Morello-cherry, & licorice.
Some skin-contact, & very light, subtle hint of fuder.
    Complex, powerful, intense, Wow nose.

Palate > Big, seriously stony bitter lime, pineapple, blood-orange, cherry-stone & quince. Quite dry tasting - seems just off-dry. Stony, slatey powdered minerals infusing every corner of your mouth.
Steely, tight, pungent, & at the same time fat & oily.
Palate is both soft & very firm & stony, also showing a hint of fuder.
    Finish is long, stone & mineral-infused key-lime, & lime-oil. Sappy & clean with lime-flesh, & citus-zest.
Extended Scarzhofberger/Van Volxem perfume on the aftertaste, & almost as intense finish.

    A borderline Wow! wine.

More power than finesse, but no lack of the latter (94+)
