Brickhouse Chardonnays are always classic apples, hazelnuts and spices good balance and texture. I’m always a little let down by them though because their Pinots are such an amazing experience but the Chards are aleays missing an X factor.

Straw in appearance, aromas of wet chalk, honey, cream, and apples. In the mouth, the wine has a stony feel to it. Still very taught with fruit acid. The wine comes of creamy, but the same time is very light in the mouth. Flavors of lemon, cream, and apples. Very well balanced, a refreshing detour from the California chardonnays I've been hammering away at recently. I think this would be really interesting to see in the next few years as it still seems very youthful now.

As previous bottles. Perfectly well made, just a bit bland and soulless. **1/2

Big spicy notes with toasted nuts, orange blossoms, honeyed fruit and bitter fruit pith. Viscous palate that became more balanced over 4 days.

It's that good. Inviting and open yet showing great balance and earthiness. It should develop over the next several years. 90-91.
