Pulled as a follow up to the Tribute to Grace Grenache since they are from the same vintage and county. Having this follow the Grenache definitely was the correct order. We moved from light and deft to inky and brooding. Nothing wrong with that with both delightful in their own ways. This is a classic Tensley with weight and structure. Plum at the core of its color and its palate with blackberry, cassis, and brown sugar all maneuvering for attention. A bit of Tobo seeks attention but the luscious fruit is muscles it along. Some heavy sediment with grains along a portion of the neck and bright swaths of red along the back of the bottle. 15% alc. With salumi and soft blue cheese by the terrace fireplace. 04.07.23. Recommended.

Drinking very well right now after short decant with acidity still present giving it more life if needed. Fruit has calmed down from the younger days. Delicious 😋 Improved with 2hrs air and pizza. This one is really singing now!

Inky currant and berries, dusting of cocoa. Good acidity and balance on this bottle.

Thick fruit with a quite tart finish. May be falling a bit more out of balance.
