Deep ruby to deep purple, sage, black cherry, boysenberry, and black currant jam, sweet and jammy on the attack followed by loads of spicy black fruits, some smoke, medium acidity, touches of minerality and soft tannins, finish is dark, and savory with dense black and blue fruit, touches of earth, pepper and lingering jammy notes
Note: Solid wine just a little too yolked for me

Tensley's 2022 Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah is an opaque crimson, impressively structured wine that captivates the senses. Aromatically loaded with dark bramble fruits, morello cherries, violets, lavender, cocoa and black pepper, it is a full-bodied red with comparable flavors and a sturdy backbone of fresh acidity. Full-bodied, proportionately oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 15%), it delivers its payload in a milieu of polished tannins that lend a refined character to the dense mid-palate and lengthy finish. This is the real deal for New World Syrah, and it should get even better with some cellar time. If you choose to imbibe now, splash (or Vinturi) decant and allow two or more hours in carafe prior to serving. Drink 2026-2037.

Decanted 30 minutes, drank half the bottle over 2 hours. Fruity fruity fruity fruity. Lots of fruit, needs time.
