Was some of the remains from the previous day's event. So, plenty of aeration here. Herb, tart cherry, touch of cinnamon, strawberry and a suave, lightly creamy texture. Finishes with the same herb note. Have another bottle teed up for the next few weeks, will look to retaste and confirm my perceptions.

Another excellent bottle. So bright and fresh, red-fruited glory with floral, earth, spice and savory elements. So crisp but by no means lean - this seems to be balanced wonderfully with tannic structure and acidity. Plenty of time ahead.

Blind CA Pinot Noir (Round 2): Light ruby color. Vibrant aromatics, this is a tart, spicy, exotic and floral wine with lots of bright red fruit, pepper, rhubarb and woodsy/earthy elements. Medium-bodied (12.9% alcohol), the wine is framed by tart acidity and fine but structured tannins. Gushing red fruit (cherry, strawberry, raspberry) but it’s so tart and vibrant. Backed up by roses, potting soil, black tea and rhubarb. A vibrant minerality pervades this wine. Fruity and delicious but a tart, tangy, lip-smacking and exciting Pinot. Gorgeous now but I’d love to see this develop over the next four years or so. Aged 14 months in 20% new oak.

West of West NYC - short notes from the tasting (City Winery - New York City): Medium ruby color. Nose of red fruits and herbs. Red fruits, strawberry herbs. Was till tight on tasting...should put on some weight with bottle age. Will benefit from some air time
