(Marc Colin St. Aubin "En Remilly") The '01 of this wine was delicious and I was looking very forward to the '02 so here is the verdict. Touch of oak, orange rind, lemon zest, zippy minerality, leesy creaminess and a touch of jalapeno. Great nose. Very aromatic and complex. A big step up in aromatic complexity over the '01. Juicy and focused with great apple, spice and concentrated fruit. Really silky texture with a finish of dried pineapple and lactic minerality. Long finish that goes on and on. Great St. Aubin. I don't know if this will keep that long. So delicious now. Acids are good but the '01 of this had much more present acids. Maybe it is hiding under all that baby fat. Great stuff.

From a magnum. Fully mature and probably a little past its best, but in good condition. For lovers of mature white burgundy, pretty enjoyable.

Medium to deep yellow colour, the bouquet is savoury with clear development. Minerals, wet chalk, steel wool, bay leaf with spice, clove and vanilla.
The entry is medium-bodied with a fine steely acidity underscored by a richness showing oat bran and poached pear that melts to a vanilla fudge texture. Complex and remarkably satisfying wine, the acidity rides through a smooth mid-palate towards a chalkier oatmeal porridge bowl finish. Lovely detailed wine.

Great showing out of a Magnum on Christmas Eve. Zesty aromas, mouth-watering ripe apples and pine apples as well as herbaceous notes. Not as creamy as others, but displaying a great minerality. Don't have it with people who aren't accustomed to this kind of wine. They didn't get it.

A very pretty wine -- excellent balance, minerals, good lemon-lime acidity. Good length. For Marc Colin some noticeable but well-integrated oak.
