Weak nose. Blackberry, earth and cedar Palate is simple - earth, blackberry and moderate tannins. Maybe a few spices as well. Medium finish. Not going to get better. Not bad, aging well but not great.

doing well for a 15 year old superieur, still strong tannins and dark brooding fruit/earth. agree with others the wine is straightforward, but still enjoyable in its simplicity. great for easy drinking to pair with food - i had it with beef stew and mushroom swiss burgers over two nights.

Showed a bit better than the bottle from last month. Again, the large percentage of PV makes this an interesting, if not atypical, Bordeaux red. Enjoyable, but not nearly as good as a bottle of 2005 Chateau Chatelet that was consumed prior to this.

Poured from magnum, auction bottle, nose of black berry, boysenberry, and allspice, on the palate, big body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, smart purchase from a great vintage for $63, enough fruit, complexity, and polish that easily rewards your cellar efforts, medium/long finish, good stuff in other vintages suggest you try it.

Interesting, but not thrilling. At $17 on release, it's held up surprising well for 15 years but it didn't blossom into a high-end Bordeaux.
