Phil's impromptu tasting fun (Phil's place, Putney, Sydney): From Coravin. Fresh, a little mint pursues black fruit around the nose, cream, butter, cedar in support. Juicy, savoury, cedary, fresh black fruits, woody tannins, rather lovely.

Was a week ago. Very good indeed however fruit incredibly forward but gorgeous. Needs 15 years from vintage to integrate better. Still enjoyable.

Lovely deep colour. Full in the mouth whilst remaining tight. Good length. Mature without any sign of tiring. Drink by 2028. Decanted using a gentle aeration funnel two hours before drinking.
