Phil's impromptu tasting fun (Phil's place, Putney, Sydney): From Coravin. Fresh, a little mint pursues black fruit around the nose, cream, butter, cedar in support. Juicy, savoury, cedary, fresh black fruits, woody tannins, rather lovely.

Lovely deep colour. Full in the mouth whilst remaining tight. Good length. Mature without any sign of tiring. Drink by 2028. Decanted using a gentle aeration funnel two hours before drinking.

Pnp and drank over 2 days. Great from the get go but it did improve over time. Still as great or better on day 2. Classic Bordeaux style, though it drinks older than its years. In a perfect window. A little fruit but mostly secondary and tertiary flavors. Lots of life ahead. Lots of acid. Really enjoyable.

A very nice wine, concentrated and balanced with a nice freshness. Ripe aromas of blackcurant and boysenberry, still slightly under oak influence, quite focused with smooth and well integrated tanins. Delicious now, after 1 hour decantation, this will clearly hold well for a longer aging (would say 10/12 years easily from now). Would love to taste it again in a couple of years.

Coravin fun - Randoms (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. medium minus intensity aromas of graphite, pencil shavings, slight pyrazine, with time cream, blackcurrant and red currant, fresh tilled earth, slightly muddy notes and sweet spice. On the palate it's juicy and savoury but with a blackcurrant and bramble fruit core, tannins persist but are finely textured and, though drying, are very much in support. Slight alcohol warmth on the finish. Okay

Agreed with the prior commenters noting the potential - it’s tasty now, but so well balanced that it’ll be fascinating to see where it goes in 5 years.

First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): Served blind. Plain chocolate, blackcurrant, brambles, sweet spice and a little peppery note. medium plus intensity juicy acidity, drying tannins, brambles and blackcurrants, slight meaty notes to the long finish. Nice Guessed Bordeaux blend, new world, possibly cool climate Australia and 2015

Luftet 1t i glass.

SLDS November 2019: Earthy, raspberry, blackcurrant, cranberry - smells like good Bordeaux with savoury notes and rich fruit going together well. Sweeter on the palate though, but there is an undercurrent of the earthy flavour. Brimming with potential, this should lift wonderfully with another 7-10 years in bottle.

Coravin fun - Ready to drink & New arrivals (Kennards, Waterloo): From Coravin. Ripe wild blackcurrant, cedar, slight pencil shavings and cigar box, a little cream and sweet spice. Savoury, refreshingly juicy, similar flavour profile to the nose, tannins are present without being overbearing, great component balance lends a wonderful sense of 'completeness'. Eminently approachable now but with great promise. bravo.

Quite impressed - bigger and more structured than remembered upon release. Main criticism was the vegetal aspect (level of ripeness or selection in question ?). Needs a lot of time.

Hosting GC from WB: Ash, red cherry, slate, graphite, white pepper and kirsch. Good restraint on the palate, there is plenty of acidity to go with the mix of sweet and savoury fruit. Very youthful but plenty of potential.

Cherry, blackberry, leather, green pepper, spices and tobacco. Nice and fresh tannins, with emerging maturity notes.

Was a week ago. Very good indeed however fruit incredibly forward but gorgeous. Needs 15 years from vintage to integrate better. Still enjoyable.

Smooth, still in a primary state but maybe lacking interest. Revisit in 5 years.
