Had the Block M 2014 and 2015 on consecutive nights. Yankees lost both nights, so no edge there. But the ‘14 was the far better drink, bright and in a perfect state to enjoy. The younger wine was austere and lacking fruit. Melville pinots always excellent value.

Had with Santa Maria style tri tip. Great pairing!
Earthy, herbal nose with raspberry/cherry fruit. fine tannin on the finish with good acid.
Dark and spiced with some earthiness. A hint of tea and cola. Seems pretty tightly wound still.
Strawberry, underbrush, bacon. Quite some grip and perhaps a bit of spritz. Needs time.
