Bought as a back vintage. Worth every penny paid. Well balanced, good sweetness, medium tannins, great flavours of dark fruit( cherry), good length. A pleasure to drink from start to finish. Has the capability to age but for me this is in my drinking window. Illustrates how good pinot can be in the hands of a good vintner from BC.

This wine has gone downhill ever since QG lost Grant Stanley – the high priest of Pinot in Martinborough!
I have followed Grant since his days at Ata Rangi – Pinot lovers will recall those wines! I miss his intensity & dedication to purity – he made elegant wines.
Perhaps I waited too long here? This wine needed more fruit & I expected more @ this price point.
PS – Grant now works for Spearhead & look at how well those PN’s are doing…

Ruby red with a sweet cherry nose, some strawberry. Light bodied, almost delicate, smooth and well balanced. Delightful but really needed to deliver more complexity at this price point.
