This is one of the best ports I've had the pleasure to enjoy. The fill was still top shoulder with a wax capsule. The cork seemed good, but broke in half but wasn't a problem. Decanted/filtered into small vessels, then transferred to glasses as I went, never decanting the whole bottle.
Amazing how the fruit and acidic backbone are still so prevalent and in perfect balance. Plums and chocolate with some warm nutmeg spice all through to the finish. One of the other reviewers mentioned the purity of the fruit and that says it all. It's in a great place to enjoy now, but after 68 years, there is no rush, so open yours when you want something special, since this truly is.

Drunk at An Other Place Hong Kong - For all great vintage ports to reach their apotheosis the alcohol needs to be seamlessly integrated with the fruit and such is Graham '55. Far superior to the Taylor '55 in my view and so much so that this was ranked top three in a line up that included both '90 Chave and '90 Margaux.

MAGNUM Vintage Port (CUT restaurant Beverly Hills): Out in of magnum. So smooth, youthful (68 years old), sweet and enjoyable finish.

A real beauty. Incredible depth and nose. The '55 vintage really is amazing you would never guess that old.
