Right up my alley. Rainier cherries, cherry blossoms on nose, earthy, holds strong fruit over several hours, balance with resolved tannins but long finish. As good a brunello as I’ve had in a long time!

Hmm, I would say needs a few more years in cellar. At first quite tight but after 90 minutes of air/dinner the nose started getting good with cedar, bit of eucalyptus and (hint of) cherry. Mouthfeel’s pretty tart, still cedar and tart cherry. Not super astringent, nor super long so it’s not (imho) decadal, but needs a bit. Liked it for potential and it kept me on my toes looking for its good points.

Medium to dark garnet color turning brick orange at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose gives off smoky orange peel on red fruit with hints of leather on toasted oak. The palate is medium to full bodied with a silky texture, good alcohol burn and savory acidity that balances the ripe raspberry, dark cherry and cranberry. There’s a solid, elegant mid palate that thrusts secondary flavors of sandalwood, hanged meat, fig, vanilla, and cola towards a long, lifted, finely grained finish with hints of terracotta pots. This is a complex, sumptuous and delightful wine that delivers on all fronts. Drinking well now until 2037.

Stunning yet still quite young. Power and finesse in the same bottle.
