Tasting at Chandon de Briailles with Claude de Nicolay (Savigny-lès-Beaune, France): Medium yellow. Mixed up aromas upon opening-oak and a whiff of herb and sherry. Excellent glycerine feel with pear fruit, soil, and surprisingly low acidity for the year. The wood takes over at the end. Fully mature or did it just need more air to sort itself out? At any rate, disappointing and lacking Grand Cru focus and intensity.

The Chandon de Briailles Corton Blanc comes from 2 plots, top part of Les Bressandes (80%) and Les Chaumes. This 2014 Corton Blanc offers a sweet exotic fruit bouquet of lychee, spiced citrus and refreshing acidity. Flamboyant fruits with good focus. (88/100)

Wow. Beautiful peachy nose. Delicious on the palate with well integrated subtle oak

Terroirs de Corton - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Cuverie Domaine Latour - Aloxe-Corton): Tasting, brief note. Restrained aromatic start. Bright lemon and apple flavors with subtle spice, moderate weight, elegant balance. Very good for its level.
