Belated Celebratory visit to Hawthorn; 3/4/2023-3/5/2023 (Hawthorn): Btg off the list. Served in a riedel burgundy glass and the wine merited it. Colour - starting to see a little bricking. On the nose - so engaging, you could sniff for hours. Am ethereal quality, some pine needles. Red fruits. The palate almost lives up to the nose, good structure but gentle. My first 2014 I think and this showed well - readier than 13 just now I think.
A second glass took a while to open up - from a fresh bottle perhaps? No rush to drink these if you have them, but no shame to try them either.

PnP. Lys farge. Lys frukt i form av bringebær og rips. Mineralsk. Lett å drikke. Syrlig og saftig, akkurat som Pinot skal være. Virker helt drikkeklar.

Great value. At the lighter end of the medium body spectrum. Red fruit (a bit tart). Nice interest and complexity. Some length. Good acidity - went v well with roast pork and gravy. Nice to drink by itself too. Will buy more. Hopefully this is fairly consistent vintage to vintage. Pnp but improved in glass.

Youthful and vigorous. A mix of red and black fruits, with licorice and beef consommé underpinning. Crunchy. Lacks a bit of grip on the palate and energy on the finish. But pretty nice and in its drinking window

Perfumed aroma of rose and red liquorice, flavours of cranberry and plum, moderate depth as kirsch gives way to very gentle tannins. Mellow and composed if not the liveliest.
