Similar to previous notes. I had the '10 Valdicava a couple of days previously which was a significant step up, but far more pricey too.

A bit young. First pass with Coravin and 30- minute breathing in a an appropriate glass: proper, young and not likely to wow.Tannins override the black cherry and soil notes. Not yet an expressive nose. Hold a bit but not for the discerning crowd.
3/20. Subsequent tasting. A nicer balance, some dry Smokey leaves, but overall not hitting the mark as well as it should

Decanted one hour. Drinking beautifully. Long finish. Cork in great shape.

Medium body, well balanced, distinct fruit, present non-aggressive tannins. Cherry, herps, vanilla. Benefits from one hour air. Enjoy now and next five years.
