Ready to drink. Loads of fruit, a little sweetness and a slight bitterness on the finish. Well balanced and delicious now, if not exactly 'classic' Bordeaux. Yum!

Day 1: Cork broke in two while opening; which is unusual for such a young wine. Rich, dark and very tannic. Tastes of wet stones and iron-rich soils (slight metallic and a short finish). Quite dry with densely packed red & black fruit.
Day 2: Aged cigar tobacco, cinnamon, Belgian chocolate and a sweet note of boysenberry / blackberry jam. Feels a bit thicker but the tannins have mellowed out nicely.
Overall: A young bruiser which will probably last about 10 - 12 years in the cellar.

Still in need of a couple of hours in the decanter, because 8 is still young, but there’s nothing forbidding about this wine, it’s all dark plums and crunchy fruit (was blue 3 years ago, feels a bit more purple now).
If I could venture a slight criticism, there is a touch of hot alcohol on the end, but then 2015 is a ripe vintage, and I’m not the best to pass judgement on that, as cooler years are more my métier.

In my opinion ready to drink. Nice accesible taste with some sweetness in the aftertaste.

Beautifull young red Bordeaux. Accessible, smooth and lots of red fruit and a bit of vanilla on the palate.
