Ripeish for a 2014, in the Lafon fashion. Hedgerow fruit on the nose, with underlying minerality but also a slightly stewed edge - not unpleasant, but also not exactly typical. Rather leaner on the palate, with dark fruit and some unresolved but extremely sandy tannins. Seemed to close down a little in the glass. Needs time, like many 2014s do IMO.

Floral spicy lift to the nose with a pronounced violet note. There are red berries and cherries in the mouth and it has good depth and poise.
