I bought a few of these 4+ years ago and finally got around to popping one open. Not the first time I've found relatively humble bottles that have avoided capture for years after receipt!
I think I'm glad I waited as this is drinking well now and shows no signs of getting tired. I did not taste upon opening, but it smelled a bit primary and single high note. Poured in the decanter and gave it a few swirls over 5-6 hours before drinking before, during, and after dinner.
Vibrancy and purity, medium-bodied, ruby transparency. Strawberry with stem including some gently stewed, red and black cherry, and raspberry accompanied by turned earth, a touch of sous bois and perhaps eucalyptus with hints of darker fruits and game giving it more breadth than expected. Somewhat simple but very compelling to me. Like Burgundy in the mountains, is this closer to an Alto Adige or Jure Pinot Noir?
Nice at the table, quite food-friendly, and pleasant as a sip on its own.
Very Good to Excellent
Really nice QPR at the then rock bottom price of $23 USD.
A special thanks to MOTZ with two recent TNs advising a long decant if drinking now. Community members' wise notes really make CT such a great place.
12.5% abv
Aside: I see more recent vintages of this wine selling the U.S. at $40 - $45+. My guess is that this well-established producer has gotten more recognition. Or it's just continued price inflation in Burgundy...

Wow! Now that is some serious whole cluster fermentation. Very young and revealing little. Serious concentration and acid. Likely to improve.
Second day update: Wow! Did this come alive! Cigar ash, strong Dijonnais character, and an enveloping 'sweetness' of perfectly ripe fruit. Ridiculously appealing for a humble Bourgogne rouge!

Consistent with previous note, in all regards. A waste without decanting for several hours. Several years, maybe ten, from maturity.
