At first there is burnt rubber and reduction but these flavours iron themselves out after a couple of hours in the glass to reveal a delightful bouquet of raspberries on a bed of decomposing leaves. No little creaminess on the palate which shows demure berry fruits and mocha over crunchy earthy notes and smoky charcuterie. This has lovely proportions and good acidic grip. Paired beautifully with roast squash, ricotta and pine nut ravioli.

A little fizzy and funky at first but fine one hour later. Has a nice strawberry compote flavour with a little five spice on the end. The first of the case to show some evolution. Nicely balanced. Perfect for BR.

Our first 90 point bourgogne. A haunting wine, dark and brooding, purply and opaque. Nose of sous-bois and lavender. Gorgeous rounded palate, finish of woodland ferns?, mushrooms?

Subtle cherry nose, cherry palate with a mildly bitter finish.
