Beautifully mature, with an absolutely gorgeous transparency to the colour. Fairly high-pitched acidity and lightish body, but balanced. Completely integrated tannins. Lots of sous bois, some sweet tobacco, black tea and cherries, with the latter providing the high notes. A delightful freshness throughout. Not a long, substantial finish, but it lingers both in the empty glass and on the palate in a most pleasant way. Maybe I've finally found the right age to drink village Pommard...
