  {bought several years after release, last of those I bought} Started our rather uninteresting, tart, red cranberry fruit... ended up much more complete, warm-earth, satisfying after being open 3 hours, with good length and depth. Threw very handsome, healthy sediment.

  Aromas gives away sweet fruit, slightly raisinated but not overly so. Honey, almost port-like.
  
  Palate is tannic, med bodied, elegant, with red fruit rather than black. Balanced and complex.
