Very consistent with 2012 vintage tasted March, 2016. Medium ruby in color with slight bricking around the edges, this wine reveals dried raisin, cherry pit and hints of spice on the nose. The mouth feel was medium/full bodied with firm tannins and subtle dried red fruits and a hint of menthol. The finish was medium somewhat closed as the dried red fruits never came fully out. 13.5% abv.
Purchased for $7US/375ml, this is a very good value. It was a nice offering for my entree of pasta with pesto sauce tonight.

Lacking in ripe fruit or the characteristic rasin qualities one sees in good Ripasso, and quite thin with short finish. Not impressed.
