  • PnP, chilled. It ain't Champagne but drinkable. I thought a bit flat.
    Decent value for price, $19

  • At 24 a bottle in the US (And I know its about 15 eur in FR) it is astral. Great value. Nice floral and lime on the nose. Finish is medium, but it leaves 'warm' feeling. Opening the appetite for fresh salad and little lightly grilled fish , but on the dry side of Brut (almost extra brut). A single value number does not give the entire story. On one hand it does not hold the bubbles for long on a constant 'run', but on the other hand, it does hold them on the palate, taste and after taste.
On a BTG, or bottles of sparking sub-30, it is more than 90-91 points. On an 'objective' scale, yes-- it is not as 'full bodied' or complicated as other wines. That said, for a nice sparking, the floral, the palate, the finish, the nose, great golden color and the fact you can serve it with no hesitation at a cocktail hour, or open one without worrying about the price- hi, this is a steal. Voted with the wallet :-)

(90 or 91, if there was a separate scale for sub $30-40 USD sparking wines it would be higher)
