Solid colour, the skins must have been formidable. Typical Marconnets nose of earth, coffee, cherry compote & spice. Fruit is dense but "cool", without the rustic warmth of the 2009, more like a denser and richer version of the 2010. Long persistent finish, great structure. Long term hold.

Red fruits, fresh, spices. Balanced with medium tannin and acidity. Medium+ finish and medium intensity. Easy drinking.

Tuesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Remoissenet, Bernard Moreau, Pousse d'Or, Comte Liger-Belair (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine. Juicy red fruit aromas with sweet spice and a lush, enticing character. Powerful red and black cherry flavors with very good density for its level, with lots of everything good here. Accessible already, VG+ potential for its level.
