  • The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant and tobacco. It tastes like red currant and a bit of strawberry to start, then tart cherry and lots of black pepper, with some nutmeg and stoniness becoming apparent in the finish. The body is medium. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity. Really good when served with a meal that can stand up to it — medium-spicy chile verde in this case.
