This wine is still holding up very well. The nose has faded, such that it lacks many of the characteristic Cab Franc notes, but it still has good structure. I enjoyed this with a small steak and potatoes dinner and it stood its ground. This wine should be finished off soon.

Very tight; took some time to open. Typical cab franc pepper, but a generous amount of fruit once the bottle had opened a bit. Tasted a bit better when we bought it a year ago, so I think the time to drink is now.

Dark but transparent burgandy red color with lots of crushed red berry scents on the nose. Fruity with a spicy element as well, maybe a little pepper. Finishes well with a touch of oak. Nice wine but the 2001 Burrell School Cab Franc is much better.

Enjoyed this with fresh olive bread and an array of cheeses. Lively blackberry fruit, touch of earthiness.
