Lovely and enticing dark red cherry color with a lively bright color with no evidence of bricking. The nose is attractive nose with an equitable balance of dark red berries, cassis, oak and tannins. I would describe the 2004 Lail Vineyards J. Daniel Cuvée as more an elegant wine, yet exhibiting a slight heft which is appealing to me.
Day 2: About the same as day one but smoother. All in all, an very nice wine that is better enjoyed with food. 90.7 Points.

Bordeaux/Cabernet with Special Guest Lail (Orsay): Young and closed down and at this point mostly showing the fruit but not as much else. Wonder what it would be like with some more time.

Consumed @ Little Sheep. Very closed on the nose, very ripe. Not impressed, maybe bad bottle?
