Decanted one hour and drank over the next hour. Typical Napa Cab nose. Black fruits dominate. Medium/full mouth feel. Thanks to Mark1npt for leaving this amazing wine for us to drink. I’ve never had or heard of this Producer but really incredible. This is how Napa should be.
Drank at restaurant after maybe 10 minute decant. Very nice nose and good mouthfeel, nice finish, but not much in the way of wow on the attack. While a very nice wine, it did not have the excitement I would have hoped for. I am not scoring this because, based on Mark1npt's tasting notes it may well be that this bottle was not open long enough to truly develop into what it could have been. I will give my other bottles more air time after I open them before I drink them.
Decant 30 minutes super polished cabernet fruit, silky smooth tannins, with a weighty palate and a long flattish finish. Delicious wine but lacking character or excitement. I dare say a few pips or stems might be needed during the ferment. 89-90
This bottle not quite as good as the last, but still quite good. Started off with black fruit and a lot of anise on the nose....with an hour or two developed more red fruit, lost the anise and filled out into a nice cab with decent weight. Nose improved in florals and this may have been the wotn by the end of the night for me as it seemed to be the most complete all around wine by the time the bottle was gone.
